Born in Danville, Virginia, I grew up on my grandfather's farm. I began working at the young age of 12 carrying newspaper and mowing lawns. At 16, I started working in my family's business, a car dealership. At that age I learned everything there is to know about cars. After finishing high school, I went on to study Business Administration at Virginia State University. After completing my Bachelors in Business Administration, I returned to Danville, where I became vice president of my family's business for twelve years.
I began working for State Farm Insurance as an agent in Martinsville, Virginia in 1992. My automobile experience made me more knowledgeable with automobile insurance. During this time, I also volunteered with the Big Brother and Big Sister's, as well as the Lion's Club International. In 2000, I relocated to Prince William County, and became a part of the Agency Field Office, in Fairfax. In 2002 I moved into leadership with State Farm Insurance, as an Agency Field Consultant, which helped me grow and develop as a strong leader. This experience helped me become more organized, informed, and focused on my daily activities. I also had the opportunity to experience more diversity and become more knowledgeable of the different backgrounds, households, and cultures, which I had not experienced before.
In 2005, I returned to my own agency office in Springfield, Virginia. I returned after gaining much knowledge and experience. I felt the need to work one on one with individuals because in my experience I had seen that insurance was such a gray area for many people. My goal has always been to help others be and do better. I am always here to assist with any insurance or financial concerns anyone may have. I have experience and resources in different lines of insurance, which includes: auto, business, health, home, life, and personal policies.
